ACC Choral camp is a day camp that kicks off Monday, June 6, 2010 and runs through Friday, June 10. The camp will take place at the University of Charleston’s Keenan Hall. Emily Capece, ACC Associate Director, will run the camp and will be assisted by area music teachers. The camp costs only $50 for all five days and includes a t-shirt. The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 12:00 noon. Dr. Duerring, the Kanawha Co. School Superintendant, has excused the children from school on Monday and Tuesday to attend this camp. Excuses are available to be given to teachers.
The purpose of camp is to to promote appreciation and enjoyment of choral music in the lives of the children and families involved in the program and to offer the opportunity for children to audition for ACC.
Friends and family members will have the opportunity to see their children’s work for the week showcased in a performance on Friday, June 10 at 5:30 pm in the Geary Auditorium at the University of Charleston.
