Camerata

Camerata Choir

For children in grades fourth through eighth grade

Camerata choir is one of ACC’s middle level choirs, one level below Concert Choir. In this level, the children have demonstrated the ability to sing in parts. This is tested by singing rounds and in two parts. Part-singing skills are continued. Tone development and vocal techniques are stressed and sight singing is introduced. The children will sing in several different languages.

In this choir, children may have a few more performance opportunities including participation in ACC’s Appalachian Festival of Young Voices. Past Camerata choirs have performed in the WVSO’s production of La Boheme, appeared on stage with Casting Crowns and performed with B.E. Taylor.

Children will have regular weekly rehearsals as well as one Saturday rehearsal a month. The schedule is a little more involved at this level since it is preparing children for the possibility of graduating to Concert Choir.

Tuition for this choir is $450.00 for the season.
