Cora Voce

Cora Voce choir

For high school girls in ninth through 12th grade.

This program is for young ladies who love to sing a variety of music and want the experience of singing in an all-girls ensemble and who desire to improve musicianship and vocal technique. At this level, the choristers develop good vocal technique and sight-singing skills. They reinforce their part-singing skills by working on two, three, and four part music.

Requirements for Participation

Prior singing experience and an audition. Some girls move up from other ACC choirs and some join straight from the public. To arrange an audition, please contact Emily Capece, Director, at capeceem@gmail.com. The director will talk with each applicant and will check for voice quality, range, and the ability to sing in tune.

When auditioning for Cora Voce, please bring a small photo we can keep. You also will be asked to fill out a short form upon arrival.

Please prepare a short song of your choosing. It can be as simple as “America the Beautiful” or any music you have sung before. An accompanist will be provided.

Cora Voce will perform at ACC’s Holiday and Spring concerts. They also may participate with womanSong events. The group will decide upon additional performances.

Tuition for this choir is $400.00 for the season. Performance dresses will be the responsibility of the members.
