What is the ACC Parent Boosters Club?

The mission of the Parent Boosters Club of the Appalachian Children’s Chorus is to support the children and artistic staff of ACC by involving all families in the activities of ACC. The Boosters Club is to encourage and support the atmosphere of accepting each child as an individual and support ACC's stand that we are a "Safe Place" for children. All ACC chorister’s parents/guardians are members of the Booster Club.

Purpose

• To promote concerts and other activities produced by ACC
• To improve communication throughout the choir program.
• To assist in Fundraising Activities to keep the tuition low.
• To assist the ACC Staff in organizing activities associated with choristers.
• To recruitment perhaps through Bring a Friend to Choir
• To give our ACC parents an easy voice to our board and staff

ACC Chairperson Responsibility

• To organize and communicate to families about meetings that take place every other month. These meetings are with parents from the individual choirs, so ACC can better involve and engage the parents in the ACC program
• Contact ACC Staff as to the content of each individual meeting
• To serve as Volunteer Coordinator
• To secure a parent Representative from each choir
• To secure support for fundraising events
  • Kroger Care’s Cards
  • Pre-Ticket Sales for the Holiday and Spring Concert
  • ACC’s Got Talent, Too
  • Poinsettia Sale
  • Product Sales
  • Auction Baskets for ACC Spring Gala
  • Employer/Friend that might be willing to support ACC JUST financially at any level
• To organize Social Events for the individual choirs-MUST have a parent volunteer to chair the event.

Meetings

The chairperson will meet with families the first few minutes of your child’s rehearsal, every other month. These will be brief sessions to discuss upcoming events and the involvement needed by the parents.
