Canzona Preparatory Choir
For children in Kindergarten through second grade
The children who participate in Canzona explore their musicality, artistic interpretation, singing & rhythmic skills, aural & visual perception, language development, motor coordination, ensemble skills and social interaction.
Children are welcome to come sing, say, dance, play, move and create through music. The structure of the program lays a musical foundation for young musicians to build on throughout their lives. It also allows for an easier transition into the upper choirs offered by the ACC.
This program is open to all children in Kindergarten through second grade and does not require an audition to join.
Canzona only performs in the ACC Holiday and Spring Concerts.
This choir only has regular weekly rehearsals for one hour. Depending on the number of children enrolled, this class occasionally is split into two groups to facilitate better instruction. If another class is needed, it will be on the same evening but start at a later time.
For the 2020/2021 season, Canzona will be meeting and having rehearsals virtually to ensure the health and safety of our kids.
